”When I first walked through the doors of Fire Eye Fitness, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the class, the trainer or even of myself. I had neglected my fitness for quite some time and to get myself ‘back on track’ I decided I needed ‘something different’ and Fire Eye Fitness seemed to be the only place in Indy that offered boxing classes for the ‘average Jane’.
At that time, I had one 5k race under my belt from about a decade earlier, I had no idea what was ‘Ironman’, plus, I didn’t consider myself much of an athlete. How and when I ‘decide’ to take on my first Ironman 70.3 is still somewhat of a mystery, however, I do know Todd had a heavy hand in introducing me to Ironman and convincing me it was something worth my while. But what convinced me more than anything to take on this physical feat was the fact that I had a trainer in Todd, who not only was willing to work with me every step of the way and even ran the last few miles of the Ironman with me. |
